Spent an hour de-cluttering the bike this weekend. No more luggage rack, dynamo lights or panniers, but I took pity on the mudguards. After all if it's wet I'll be glad of them. So, what do you reckon, does it look ready?
It might not look like much but it runs along quite nicely and you can't complain much when the frame came free as a replacement after the one I bought snapped after several years service, fortunately covered by a lifetime guarantee.
Beautiful weather for a ride, but no chance when there are children to keep entertained, essays on the ethics of commercial surrogacy to write (not personally) and welcome visits from relatives you've not seen for years. Hope to fit in another couple of rides to work in the coming week otherwise it really will be a struggle to cover 60 miles or more at a decent pace, 3 days in a row with little sleep.
